If you’re 18-years-old or older and you indicate worries on your Mood Ring, you’ll be shown MindTrails as a possible program for you to try. Click the link to the website.
Enter the email address that you have associated with MentorHub
This is really important – you must enter the email address that you use with MentorHub so that your mentor will be notified that you accessed the site. Then click “continue.”
Follow the directions!
MindTrails walks you through a series of exercises to help you learn more flexible thinking. Did you know that our anxious brains like to assume the worst is going to happen even when we don’t really know what’s going to happen? MindTrails helps users learn to think more flexibly so that ambiguous situations aren’t as scary or anxiety-provoking. Each session is no longer than 20 minutes.
Practice, practice, practice
The MindTrails team recommends returning to the website once a week for 5 weeks to see the best benefits. If you’d like, you can always do more. Learning to think flexibly takes time and practice (just like building up any new skill!), so the more you use the program, the more you’ll get out of it.
